Habitudes - Growing Leaders (click to view Session)

Habitudes Leadership Training curriculum is a fun, creative, and engaging way for the next generation to learn and practice leadership. Habitudes Leadership Lesson Plans teach timeless character and leadership principles through the power of an image, a conversation, and an experience. AHG encourages you to incorporate the Habitudes Leadership Curriculum into your Troop. The idea of imagery to make a point is not new; Jesus modeled this for us when he spoke in parables. He used an image to connect with his audience. The Habitudes curriculum challenges girls to insert themselves into the idea or picture in order to gain a deeper understanding of the concept. In this session, certified Habitudes instructors will teach you how to utilize this powerful tool in your Troop. Duration: 1.25 hours

Outdoor Skills (click to view Session)

Are you hesitant to explore the great outdoors? Is “camping” to you a pizza in the backyard? Developing Teamwork and Building Confidence through varied outdoor experiences is one of AHG’s six Program Emphases and is a critical component in offering a fully-developed program to your Troop girls and families. In this engaging, hands-on Training Session, you will learn everything you need to know about planning a camping trip, pitching a tent, starting a fire, and staying safe in the outdoors. This Training Session complements the AHG Outdoor Training-Indoor Classroom available in AHGsource. Duration: 2.75 hours
